BOOKING POLICY/HOUSE RULE
Luna Cottage is strictly a non-smoking property. If you smoke, please do so only in the garden at least 15 metres away from any doors/windows and please make sure no smoke enters the building.
The property has an open fire and a guide to how to light it/use it which must be followed to prevent accidents. One large basket of logs is provided, more available at £6 large bag, or please purchase from the village. Please feel free to bring a disposable BBQ if you would like (we do not provide a BBQ) and leave it outside for the housekeeper to dispose of safely.
A max of 3 dogs are welcome - please ask if you have more as we usually say yes but need to consider space. We do not make any extra charge for dogs but any damage they make must be paid for and we ask if you would please bring throws if your dog sleeps on your bed. Please only leave your dog alone in the house if s/he is happy and settled.
We also ask that you clean up after them in the gardens - our gardener is very lovely, but he hates finding doggy parcels on the grass and has asked me to ask guests to check the gardens carefully on the morning of their departure.
We provide guest towels (bath sheet plus guest towel per guest) and we have a supply of old towels for drying dogs. I ask that on your last day, please wash these the night before if you have used them and leave them on the airer for the housekeeper to tumble and put away. This is to prevent them being washed with guest towels.
We have Superfast internet supplied by Utility Warehouse. In the event of this dropping, we will endeavour to rectify it as soon as UW are able to, but we cannot be responsible for any loss you may have as a result if this is outside of our control. We cannot make any refunds in connection with unexpected Wifi loss.
To book, a £50 non-refundable deposit saves the dates, the remainder is due 8 weeks before the holiday start date.
Checkout time is 10.00 please. Unfortunately we advise that we will make a charge of £15 for every 30 minutes over this time.
Breaks are offered Mon-Fri/Fri-Mon and Fri-Fri/Mon-Mon. To check availabilty/price please click on the book now buttons with dates on the enquiry page. For any problems with this, please email/text me or send a message. If the buttons refuse to accept the dates entered, it either means the dates are booked or that the arrival/departure date is not a Monday or a Friday. The calendar is always up to date.
Please note, we cannot allow EV charging in our domestic plugs - we are coastal and have a limited fuse ampage, it is a major fire risk - please locate nearby charging stations before booking - there is a website called Chargemap which shows nearest charging stations. Unfortunately, due to the risks involved, we will ask that guests leave immediately if the smart meter shows a spike concurrent with charging a vehicle, or cables are seen going into the property. I hope this is reasonable.
Luna has cctv at the front, overlooking the drive entrance, and at the back gate overlooking the gate and passageway leading up to the gate. This is for guest/property protection. The cameras are never monitored and are only there in case an event occurs where evidence is needed, and for when the property is vacant. In the unlikely event of an incident occurring during your stay where any evidence is needed, please call me immediately so that I can save any footage as the camera wipes clean every 48 hours. The cameras cannot see inside the property or in the rear garden, only the front area. We have ICO protection and the cameras have been fitted professionally.
